In Kutztown, there’s still a classic Eagle 4-way signal mounted at the intersection of Main Street at Willow Street. It remains mostly incandescent, with LED dialight lenses on the green sections facing the eastern and western corridors of Main Street. Not much is known about this signal, and I think this was either installed during the 1950s or early 60s. I was very shocked to see that this signal was still running, and mostly incandescent, above are some photos I snapped of this classic. This is the typical look to a majority of Eagle 4-way signals, with cutaway visors, and it appears to have had several coats of paint, given the fact that this thing is in relatively decent condition for it’s age. There is a newer McCain three way cluster mounted next to it, and I think that this Eagle was the only signal in the entire intersection before the municipality installed the cluster next to it.
